Install Color.io on Desktop

Color.io is designed as a progressive web application (PWA). Progressive Web Apps can be installed as fullscreen desktop or home screen apps on many devices (see browser and system requirements). This guide will walk you through how to download and install Color.io for the best fullscreen editing and color grading experience.

1. On your Computer or Mac, open Chrome.
   
2. Go to https://app.color.io
3. At the top right of the address bar, click Install.
   
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the PWA.
5. You can now launch Color.io directly from your desktop as a fullscreen application.

2. Go to https://app.color.io
3. At the top right of the address bar, click on the install icon.
   
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the PWA.
5. You can now launch Color.io directly from your start menu or your desktop.

Note: To use Color.io on Microsoft Edge, you'll need to make sure the Strict mode privacy setting is disabled for app.color.io. Visit Microsoft's help center for information.

Firefox has recently stopped native support for progressive web app installation. You can still install Color.io to your desktop with a free extension to enjoy the standalone fullscreen experience on your desktop device. Just follow these instructions:

1. Install the Extension Progressive Web Apps for Firefox
   
2. Follow the instructions in the official documentation
3. Go to https://app.color.io
   
4. Install Color.io as a desktop app from the PWA extension
5. You can now launch Color.io as a standalone app directly from your desktop.

Important: Safari does not yet support PWA installation on desktop devices. To install Color.io as a fullscreen desktop application on your Mac, iMac or MacBook please consider one of the supported browsers above.

1. Open Safari on your iPad
   
2. Turn your iPad into Landscape orientation
   
3. Go to https://app.color.io
   
4. Tap the Share icon
5. Tap "Add to Home Screen"
6. You can now launch Color.io as an app on your iPad
